A concert in memory of Jerzy "Duduś" Matuszkiewicz
Jerzy "Duduś" Matuszkiewicz is recognized as the creator of Polish jazz (the Melomani ensemble, founder of the first Sopot Molo Jazz Festival). He began his career playing the saxophone, later dedicating himself to composing film scores and songs. Henryk was invited to participate in nearly all of his works, performing on clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone. He will share several stories connected to this remarkable collaboration.
The concert will feature the greatest film scores, including "Domestic War", "The Forty-Year-Old", "The Stake Is Greater Than Life", "Janosik", as well as songs such as "La Valse Du Mal" and "Ach to był szał", rearranged by the quartet leader, now considered a legend of Polish jazz.
With this concert marking the fifth anniversary of Jerzy "Duduś" Matuszkiewicz's death, Henryk wishes to commemorate his artistic legacy.
