JAZZ PO POLSKU: Skicki - Skiuk

As part of the JAZZ PO POLSKU "Warsaw Live Sessions" project, leading acts from the Polish jazz scene and international guests perform original concerts.

SKICKI-SKIUK is not a jazz project—it's a band. They dislike comparisons with other musicians, except perhaps to an imagined collaboration between Wayne Shorter and Led Zeppelin... under Frank Zappa's direction. After winning the prestigious Grand Prix at the 52nd Jazz Nad Odrą Festival's Competition for Jazz Individuality, Leszek Możdżer invited them to his studio, resulting in their debut album SKICKI-SKIUK - CHRARUMIMIA. They have performed in diverse venues: from jazz clubs to concert halls, but their most exciting challenge to date was performing at the Night of Jazz organized by Jazz Forum at one of Europe's largest music events—Woodstock Festival. The reaction of thousands of Woodstock attendees confirmed that jazz as performed by SKICKI-SKIUK is not just music for genre connoisseurs!
