Momoko Gill

Momoko Gill has long been one of the best-kept secrets of the British jazz and electronic music scene. A self-taught drummer, producer, vocalist and composer, she has collaborated with Alabaster DePlume, Matthew Herbert, Coby Sey, Tirzah and Nadeem Din-Gabisim. Her extensive stage experience has shaped her unique musical language.

In her solo project, Momoko Gill presents music that defies genre definitions. She blends jazz, electronics, songwriting and experimentation, creating a sound rooted in intuition, emotion and personal expression. Raised between Japan, the USA and the UK, she draws from diverse cultural experiences, which she transforms into distinctive compositions and narratives.

Her latest material is a moving, poetic story full of contrasts – from jazzy grooves and subtle harmonies to dark, experimental soundscapes. It is bold, honest and uncompromising music that reveals the full scope of Momoko Gill's artistic vision.
