João de Sousa & Paweł Szamburski "Cantiga do mar"
Klub Jassmine, Warsaw, Poland
119 zł
"Songs of the Sea" is a joint project by João de Sousa and Paweł Szamburski — artists who are joining forces as a duo for the first time, creating a concert inspired by the sea as a space of travel, freedom, and memory. The programme is based on a new repertoire encompassing fado, Brazilian music, medieval cantigas, and original compositions exploring longing, change, and the experience of contact with the elements.
João de Sousa, a Portuguese vocalist, guitarist, and composer living in Poland, is known for his creative dialogue with Portuguese musical tradition. In his work, he combines elements of fado, classical, jazz, and experimental music, collaborating with artists from Poland, Europe, and Latin America.
Paweł Szamburski — clarinetist, composer, and co-founder of Bastarda Trio — has long been one of the most important figures on Warsaw's independent music scene. In his projects, he draws on early music, folk traditions, and improvisation, creating a distinctive, emotional sonic language.
