Daudi Matsiko has captured our hearts. A British-Ugandan vocalist and songwriter, on his debut album "The King Of Misery" he crafts a moving narrative about mental health and finding hope amid life's challenges. His delicate yet intensely powerful voice, profound lyrics, and contemporary folk sound have earned him recognition from Gilles Peterson, Lauren Laverne, Jamz Supernova, Jamie Cullum, and Adam Buxton.
Following an enthusiastically received performance at The Great Escape festival and support from POWER UP, PRS Foundation, and Alberts Favourites, Matsiko founded his own label "Really Good", through which his debut was released. The album received outstanding reviews, including 4 stars in "Mojo Magazine" and "Far Out Magazine", landed on numerous Spotify playlists, and was featured in Bandcamp Weekly.
Daudi Matsiko captivates live as well - his concerts are both intimate and emotionally charged. Time for his first solo performance at Jassmine.
