Iztok Koren & Raphael Rogiński • Album Premiere "Nocturnal Consolations"

Join us for a concert as part of the Polish tour promoting the debut album of Slovenian multi-instrumentalist Iztok Koren (Širom) and Polish guitarist Raphael Rogiński. The album "Nocturnal Consolations" premiered on March 27, 2026.

The album is the result of intensive collaboration between two instrumentalists seeking new meanings for the familiar sounds of their instruments. With attention to space – both acoustic and conceptual – Koren and Rogiński create a living, evolving polyphony based on a dialogue between two distinct musical languages. This meeting of different musical sensibilities forms the central point of the record.

Drawing from traditional music while transcending its conventions, the duo builds a contemporary sonic landscape – rooted in heritage yet open to the future. The album was recorded live without overdubs in June 2025 at "Kmečka Soba" in Ljubljana, preserving complete spontaneity, intimacy, and the energy of shared performance. Every sound here is the result of direct interaction between the musicians.
