The Blue Bear
Puppet and Actor Theatre in Łomża, Poland
Bears can be white, brown, or black. Sometimes grey. But certainly not blue - yet Azul is exactly that. Does this make her worse than the others? Perhaps only those who look with their eyes rather than their hearts fail to see her beauty.
"The Blue Bear" by Joanna M. Chmielewska, adapted and directed by Katarzyna Hora, is a story about tolerance, belonging, and discovering one's own strength - a tale that reminds us the world needs many different colours. The production uses hybrid puppet forms and scenography that creates a poetic, delicate atmosphere.
