Gdańsk Jazz Nights: Tadeusz Cieślak - Sonostoria and Kaszana Quartet

Sonostoria is the solo debut album of saxophonist Tadeusz Cieślak - a collection of compositions and improvisations for tenor saxophone, bass clarinet, and flute. The artist describes his concerts as fully acoustic sets in which he balances between silence and exploration of sound space, seeking expression both in constructed melodies and in sonoric exaltation.

Kaszana Quartet is a Gdańsk quartet founded by Kacper Cempa in July 2024, composed of students from the jazz department of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. The ensemble plays jazz music based on motivic development, open forms, and harmony, with influences from hip-hop, groove, and drum and bass. They are active on the Tricity scene - in June 2025 they performed at the Synestezja Festival (WL4 mleczny piotr) and at the Superpozycja event, which combines jazz with electronics and techno.
