Fern Flower

"Fern Flower" is the first musical by the Warszawianka Dance Theatre of the University of Warsaw - created by and for young people. The young performers were not merely actors here: their experiences, dreams, fears, sense of humor, and their way of looking at the world became direct inspiration for the script, music, and characters of the show.
The story concerns a generation growing up in the world of social media, constant rush, and sensory overload - a generation that, like all before it, seeks friendship, love, acceptance, and its own place. The protagonist is not a single character, but a group of young people on the threshold of adulthood. Setting out in search of the legendary Fern Flower, they discover the secrets of Midsummer's Night, but above all - themselves.
The show was created based on a script by Magdalena Bernat-Protaziuk. Adaptation and direction: Katarzyna Anna Małachowska. Music: Witold Jarosiński. Choreography: Karolina Rząca. Vocal coaching: Martyna Temporowicz-Gudajczyk. Set design, costumes, and lighting: Krzysztof Małachowski. Dialogue: Aleksander Gałązka. Visualizations: Robert Parzychowski.
