SIESTA on the Road: FADO GALA. Marta Pereira da Costa and Friends: Nani Medeiros & Duarte

The Ethno Jazz Festival presents another instalment of Marcin Kydryński's concert series. On 12 March, the Gothic Hall of the Old Monastery (ul. Purkyniego 1) will host three artists in one project: Portuguese guitar virtuoso Marta Pereira da Costa and her companions Nani Medeiros and Duarte.

Marta Pereira da Costa - recipient of the Amalia Rodrigues Foundation award - performs worldwide, from Brazil to Senegal and from the United States to Tunisia. Her original album features singers including Camane, Dulce Pontes and Richard Bona. Brazilian Nani Medeiros blends the tradition of old Alfama with tropical sound, while Duarte - an artist from Évora - achieved five encores at the Siesta Festival in Gdańsk, setting a record at the Fado Tavern.
