Past Simple

Premiere of the residency: "Past Simple" as an accompanying event to Malta Festival 2026.

The performance was created as part of the NIMiT programme "Dancer - Resident - 2025/2026 Edition" at the Polish Dance Theatre. Two figures move through a space of memories, where objects, gestures and emotions return like echoes of moments past. The creators examine the nature of sentiment - its strength, weight and evanescence - and pose a question: does holding onto the past allow us to preserve it, or does it instead take away space for what is yet to come?
