Zofia Olesik and Łukasz Byrda - Concert for Henryk Wieniawski's Birthday

A concert celebrating Henryk Wieniawski's birthday takes place on Sunday, 12 July. Violinist Zofia Anna Olesik and pianist Łukasz Byrda will perform.

Zofia Anna Olesik is a laureate of over 30 national and international violin competitions and the first officially announced participant in the 17th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. She has performed on stages throughout Europe and beyond, collaborating with renowned orchestras. Łukasz Byrda - winner of numerous international competitions and artistic scholarships - has performed at festivals and concert halls in Europe, North America, and Asia.

The programme features works by Wieniawski: "Legend" op. 17, "Polonaise in D major" op. 4, and the second movement of the Violin Concerto in D minor op. 22, as well as compositions by Camille Saint-Saëns, Eugène Ysaÿe, Sergei Prokofiev, and Frédéric Chopin.
