The 18th edition of the International Festival of Music Producers Soundedit opens on Friday, 23 October 2026, at Łódź's Wytwórnia club with three performers: the debuting Łódź duo Maszynowa, Kasia Lins with her project Obywatelka K.L., and British producer Howie B.
The evening begins with Maszynowa - a duo formed by Marcin Pryta and Grzegorz Fajngold (Fagot), known among other things from the project 19 Wiosen. Soundedit will host the official premiere of their debut album "Supernowa" - 11 compositions recorded in Maciej Werk's studio under the production guidance of Kamil Łazikowski, crafted in the style of Soft Cell and New Romantic.
Next comes Obywatelka K.L. - the project of Kasia Lins, three-time winner of this year's Fryderyk Awards (Artist of the Year, Pop Alternative Album of the Year for "Obywatelka K.L." and Music Video of the Year for "Śmierć w bikini"). The concert pays tribute to Grzegorz Ciechowski - a pioneer of modern music production in Poland, to whom the festival awarded the first Polish Golden Ear Award 18 years ago. The set will include "Zasypiasz sama" and "Nasza pornografia", and the stage will feature the original Yamaha EX5 synthesizer played by Republika's frontman. The vocalist and pianist will be accompanied by an ensemble led by Karol Łakomiec.
The evening closes with Howie B. - winner of the festival award in 2014, a producer who has collaborated with U2 (album "Pop"), Björk ("Post", "Homogenic"), Massive Attack, Tricky and Siouxsie and the Banshees. He returns to Łódź with new material; this will be his only performance in Poland.
The event is realized with the support of the City of Łódź and the Łódź Events Centre. It is funded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Music" programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
