With Respect, Leonard Cohen

"With Respect, Leonard Cohen" is a musical performance based on Leonard Cohen's early poetic and musical works. The minimalist staging combines with live, intimate arrangements of songs such as "Chelsea Hotel", "Famous Blue Raincoat" and "Hallelujah".

On stage: Anna Kukla (L) and Marlena Chudzio / Alicja Kurowska (C), accompanied by Michał Szafarski (guitar) and Natalia Mazurkiewicz (violin). Direction - Natalia Mazurkiewicz and Michał Szafarski, lighting design - Jakub Tomica.

The performance explores relationships - or their absence. People who pass each other on the streets of a big city and sometimes collide: in a hotel at four in the morning, by a river at four in the afternoon. The creators promise above all intimacy - expressed through Cohen's words and music.
