Film-Music Spectacle "Dukha - Mongolian Song" — Wioska Artystyczna Janowo, Janowo
Description was written before the event

A performance on the "JazzNowo" stage that combines an artistic film directed by Kasia Matei with live music performed by a jazz quartet. The film takes viewers deep into remote regions of Mongolia - across endless steppes, through the rhythm of life of the indigenous Dukha people, also known as "reindeer herders". Nomads from a small village in the Sayan Mountains are inseparably bound to reindeer; according to legend, Dukha culture will die with the last of these animals.

Slowed, contemplative shots reveal the daily life of this people - their spirituality, beliefs, and closeness to nature. The music for the spectacle was composed by Piotr Rachoń, who will perform it live with his ensemble as the film's sound accompaniment.
