Druga - A Monodrama by Katarzyna Traczyńska
Wioska Artystyczna Janowo, Poland
120 zł
An intimate exploration of identity formation in the face of imposed roles and the weight of the past. The protagonist is a daughter, mother, wife, and actress - and it is precisely by remaining within these roles that she attempts to define herself beyond others' expectations and ready-made patterns. For years she has balanced between the need for security and the desire for freedom, living in roles she never consciously chose.
The performance begins with the relationship with an authoritarian mother - a symbol of inherited expectations, dependency, and internal constraints. The narrative moves through successive stages of rebellion, doubt, and the search for autonomy, revealing the cost of stepping out of the shadow.
Katarzyna Traczyńska and her team won first place in the world in tap dancing - we will see samples of this on stage.
