Workshop | From Wall to Word: Street Art as Creative Inspiration, Creative Activities | Led by: Aga Lesiewicz | URBAN ART AREA 6 — Dom Towarowy Bracia Jabłkowscy, Warsaw

A two-hour workshop on art perception and creative activities led by Aga Lesiewicz. The starting point is street art - art that appears on walls, in underground passages and stairwells without invitation and without a frame. Participants will journey from the mechanisms of visual perception, through aesthetic and emotional experience, to an analysis of street art as a voice of society and the city.

Aga Lesiewicz is a writer and screenwriter, author of three crime novels (Rebound, Exposure, What Have You Done, Zoe Bloom?) published in the UK and translated into French and English. She previously worked in television as a director, promo producer and screenwriter. She explores the relationships between art and literature, with particular focus on the psychology of visual perception as a generative tool for writers. She is a member of the British Art Network and curator of the Ways of Looking programme at Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain. She leads international creative workshops in London, Tuscany and Luxembourg. Education: MA in English Philology (University of Warsaw), MPhil in English Literature (Lancaster University).

The workshop is aimed at people aged 16 and over. The number of participants is limited. Participation in Urban Art Academy entitles you to free entry to the Urban Art Area 6 exhibition. More information on the organiser's website.
