Workshop | Unread: Creating Urban Messages, Creative Activities | Led by: Istowski | URBAN ART AREA 6
Dom Towarowy Bracia Jabłkowscy, Warsaw, Poland
50 zł
The "Unread" workshop is a creative activity led by Istowski, dedicated to creating original messages in street art aesthetics. The starting point is the language of contemporary communication - drawing from social media and internet culture.
Participants work with pre-prepared stencils of letters, symbols, and emojis, designing their own messages, which they then transfer onto paper using stencil and spray paint techniques. The message can be a personal reflection, a commentary on reality, a slogan, a question, or a message directed at others. The workshop begins with a brief introduction to street art. The result is individual works combining text and image. Selected pieces may also be placed on a wall prepared by the organizers and become part of the urban landscape.
Duration: approximately 2 hours. The number of participants is limited. Children under 12 can participate under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Participation in Urban Art Academy entitles you to free entry to the Urban Art Area 6 exhibition. More information on the organizer's website.
ISTOWSKI - spray paint enthusiast and street artist specializing in multi-matrix machine-cut stencil technique. He realizes projects of original and commercial murals, and conducts thematic cycles of street art workshops. Staff member of the Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.
The workshop takes place as part of Urban Art Area 6 at Dom Towarowy Bracia Jabłkowscy on ul. Bracka 25 in Warsaw. The exhibition is open daily except Mondays, from July 4 to August 2, 2026.
