Lost Press - Zine Printing and Publishing
Facilitator: Maciej Szytko, MA
A zine is a form of self-publishing created by hand by the author - it can contain photographs, texts, graphics, and drawings centered around a chosen theme or story the author wishes to share. The workshop is open to everyone: both active creators and those just beginning their artistic journey.
Participants will learn the basics of digital printing and technical booklet production, then independently print and bind their own zines. The program consists of four stages: zine composition (collectively assembling the publication from participants' work), imposition (page layout and arrangement for printing), booklet printing, and binding - each participant will receive 10 copies to bind themselves. The workshop is led by people with artistic training who are actively involved in publishing.
Duration: approximately 2 hours.
Participation in Urban Art Academy grants free entry to the Urban Art Area 6 exhibition. Children under 12 may participate in the workshop under parental or guardian supervision. Places are limited - for more information, visit the organizer's website.
