Pan Jowialski - Theatre of the Dramatic Society (SCENA SOKÓŁ)

The Małopolskie Centrum Kultury SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz presents the premiere of "Pan Jowialski" by Aleksander Fredro, performed by the Theatre of the Dramatic Society. The performance takes place on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 at 18:00 in the Lucjan Lipiński Hall.

The titular character is a raconteur, joker, and incorrigible optimist who greets every situation with an anecdote or proverb. In his home, different worldviews collide: on one side, humour and good fun; on the other, the romantic yearnings of young Helena and Ludmir; and among them, the sober observer of family misadventures - Szambelanowa. This clash of attitudes gives Fredro the pretext for witty dialogue and sharp observations of human weakness.

Tickets are available from 1 July 2026 at the price of 30.00 PLN (standard) and 25.00 PLN (concession) - at the MCK SOKÓŁ box office (ul. Długosza 3), at ticket machines in Gołąbkowice Shopping Centre and at the IBIS STYLES hotel, as well as online. Anti-communist opposition activists and persons persecuted for political reasons may purchase a ticket for 1.00 PLN exclusively at the MCK SOKÓŁ box office (with valid credentials). When purchasing online, a service fee is added according to the Bilety24 service price list.
