Katarzyna Groniec "Bliżej"

Katarzyna Groniec's concert "Bliżej" takes place on 15 November 2026 (Sunday) at the Lizard King club in Toruń. The programme is an intimate rendition of old and new songs - from "Youkali" to "Constellations", from Hemar to Osiecka.

Katarzyna Groniec is a singer, lyricist, and composer. She made her debut as Anka in the musical "Metro" at the Dramatyczny Theatre (1991). At the Festival of Actor's Song in 1997, she won the Grand Prix, First Prize, and the Journalists' Award for her performances of Hemar's "Unmasked Song" and Brel's "Amsterdam". In 2008, she received the Aleksander Bardini Mastery Diploma for outstanding achievements in the field of actor's song. Winner of the Fryderyk Award 2024 in the Literary and Poetic Song category for the album "Constellations" (Warner Music/Adapter).

In 2023, she made her debut as a prose writer with the novel "Kundle" (Nisza Publishing), nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize, the Witold Gombrowicz Prize, and the Conrad Prize. The jury of the Witold Gombrowicz Prize awarded her a distinction for "Kundle" in the form of a month-long residency in Vence - as jury member Józef Olejniczak explained, for a "moving, collective portrait of a Silesian city and psychiatric hospital in Toszek".
