STARA-NOWA PASTORAŁKA
Instytut Teologiczno-Pastoralny im. św. Józefa S. Pelczara, Rzeszów, Poland
The creative struggle of the creator of God's world; shepherds journeying to Bethlehem through Wieliczka and Skalmierz; Herod attempting to bribe death with positions in his administration… All of this reflects folk imaginings of sacred history drawn from old Polish nativity plays. Often dismissed as naive or even primitive, they prove surprisingly apt - bearing witness to the thinking of our ancestors: their piety and frivolity, inner passion and common sense, gravity and wit. Nowhere else do the sacred and profane blend with such grace as in the Christmas plays.
The Polish Classics Theatre invites you to join in carol singing, laughter, and reflection on the state of our community.
"We thank you for the carols, wishing you health and happiness in this New Year!"
Reduced-price tickets are available for students, seniors over 60, people with disabilities, and holders of the Large Family Card.
