Cyanotype - A Summer Memory
Gama - Gdańsk Cultural Archipelago, Poland
Age group: 15+
Cyanotype workshop - one of the oldest photographic techniques, where prints are created using sunlight. Participants will learn the principles of this method, prepare their own compositions, and create prints on paper.
The work uses a light-sensitive fluid that turns blue, so it's a good idea to bring gloves and clothing that can get stained. You can bring objects to the workshop that you want to make prints from - plants, small toys, etc.
The workshop will be led by Kinga Pałczyńska - a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, animator and visual artist, member of the MOSAIC association in Gdańsk.
Accessibility: the building has a wheelchair ramp from Starowiejska Street 15 and a bathroom with a changing table. There is no Polish Sign Language interpreter at the workshop, and no solutions for people with sensory disabilities. During the sessions there are long periods of darkness.
