Four Sides of Folklore - Workshops 14-08-2026

A new international festival hosted at the Ethnographic Museum presents folk music in the forms it is practiced today - showcasing diverse performance approaches and interpretations of tradition.

The programme features dances and music from various world regions performed by song and dance ensembles from Lithuania, Turkey, Algeria, Senegal, Kenya, Comoros, and Taiwan. The repertoire also includes artistic arrangements of traditional sounds from India's Rajasthan.

Workshops in traditional songs sung "in white voice" form part of the festival for those who wish to try "in crudo" singing on their own.
