A concert marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ignacy Krzyżanowski - a pianist known as "the most distinguished Polish student of Chopin". His compositions will be performed on piano by Karol Wieteska, with remarks by Michał Domaszewicz.
Karol Wieteska is a 21-year-old medical student and pianist with a particular interest in the works of Nikolai Medtner and Sergei Rachmaninoff. His repertoire also includes Polish composers - among them Frédéric Chopin and Ignacy Krzyżanowski. He is a composer in his own right, winner of the 4th edition of the nationwide competition "Festival 9 Minutes" in the composition category, and laureate of the 50th edition of the International Art Competition for Children in Japan "Pentel".
