Abbey Church in Czerwińsk Nad Wisłą

Warsaw, Poland

About the venue

The Romanesque abbey church in Czerwińsk nad Wisłą, about 70 km north-west of Warsaw, is one of the oldest and best-preserved sacred buildings in Mazovia. Founded by the Norbertines in the 12th century, it features a remarkable portal and medieval frescoes. The complex also served as a crossing point for Władysław II Jagiełło's army before the Battle of Grunwald in 1410.
