About the venue

Aula UAM (the Assembly Hall of Adam Mickiewicz University) in Poznań is a historic Neo-Renaissance concert hall built in 1905–1910 to a design by architect Edward Fürstenau for the Prussian Royal Academy. Since 1919 it has been part of the university and today serves as the permanent concert hall of the Poznań Philharmonic. The two-tier hall seats 860 and is renowned for its outstanding acoustics. It regularly hosts the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition.
