About the venue

The Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology is a cultural institution on the bank of the Vistula River in Kraków, opened in 1994. It was established thanks to the initiative and funding of filmmaker Andrzej Wajda, who donated his Kyoto Prize money to the project. The museum houses a rich collection of Japanese art — prints, ceramics, lacquerware, and textiles — and regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, and film screenings.
