The Ossolineum - formally the Ossoliński National Institute - is one of Poland's most important cultural and scholarly institutions, founded in 1817 by Józef Maksymilian Ossoliński. Its Wrocław seat, housed in a former Baroque monastery on pl. Nankiera, holds a vast collection of manuscripts, rare books, and historical documents.
