Bon Scott (1946-1980) war ein in Schottland geborener australischer Rocksänger, der AC/DC von 1974 bis zu seinem Tod anführte und an sechs Studioalben mitwirkte, darunter Highway to Hell. Das Magazin Classic Rock kürte ihn 2004 zum größten Frontmann aller Zeiten; 2003 wurde er posthum als Mitglied von AC/DC in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Er starb am 19. Februar 1980 in London im Alter von 33 Jahren - wenige Monate bevor Back in Black, das die Band ihm widmete, zu einem der meistverkauften Alben der Geschichte wurde.
