Bon Scott

About

Bon Scott (1946-1980) was a Scottish-born Australian rock singer who fronted AC/DC from 1974 until his death, co-writing six studio albums including Highway to Hell. Ranked #1 on Classic Rock magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Frontmen of All Time in 2004, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of AC/DC in 2003. He died in London on 19 February 1980, aged 33, just months before Back in Black - the album AC/DC dedicated to his memory - became one of the best-selling records in history.
