A*S*Y*S is the alias of German DJ and producer Frank Ellrich, active on the global techno and acid scene since the late 1990s. He built his reputation through Tracid Traxxx alongside Kai Tracid, then founded his own label Fe Records, releasing a string of acid-driven floor weapons that shaped the harder end of European techno. Tracks like "Acid Nightmare" and "The Acid" became benchmarks of the genre, and he has since played everywhere from Time Warp to Tomorrowland across more than 20 countries.
A*S*Y*S released "Das Pixel" with Dominique Schwartz, continuing his output on Fe Records into 2025.
A*S*Y*S dropped "Give Me Acid" with Marie Vaunt on Kurai Records in October 2024.
A*S*Y*S played Amsterdam's Het Veronicaschip in October 2025, one of his most recent confirmed live dates.
