A Wilhelm Scream is a melodic hardcore band from New Bedford, Massachusetts, active since 1993 under various names before settling on their current one in the early 2000s. Their records - above all Career Suicide (2007) and Partycrasher (2013) - are widely regarded as benchmarks of the genre, built on breakneck tempos, technically demanding guitar work, and hooks that refuse to let go. In February 2026 they released Cheap Heat, their sixth studio album, on Creator-Destructor Records.
