About

Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, active since 1996, built around the songwriting duo of vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba and bassist/vocalist Dan Andriano. Their sound fuses melodic punk energy with unusually dark, introspective lyrics - touching on addiction, heartbreak and mortality - which set them apart from the sunnier pop-punk of their era. Over ten studio albums, from the cult debut Goddamnit (1998) through to Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs (2024), they have sold over one million records and built one of the most devoted cult followings in American rock.
