Anton Dolin, Creative Evening
A creative evening with Russian artist Anton Dolin at Berlin's Genezarethkirche. Doors open at 20:00.
Anton Dolin (born 1976) is one of the most prominent Russian-language film critics, known for his work at Meduza and as editor-in-chief of Iskusstvo Kino (2017-2022). He is a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and votes for the Golden Globes. After opposing the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he left Russia in March 2022 and has since continued writing, lecturing, and hosting his YouTube channel Radio Dolin from abroad.
A Moscow court sentenced Dolin in absentia to one year in a general-regime penal colony for failing to comply with Russia's foreign agent law; the court also banned him from administering websites for two years.
Russian prosecutors had sought nearly two years in prison for Dolin over five Telegram posts published in 2024-2025 without the required foreign-agent disclaimer.
Moscow's Savelyovsky court ordered Dolin's arrest in absentia; he is to be detained upon any return to Russian territory or extradition.
Dolin and his sons received Moldovan citizenship by presidential decree of Maia Sandu.
Dolin's book 'Bad Russians: Cinema from "Brother" to "The Boy's Word"' won the Prosvetitel (Enlightener) Award for 2024.
