Big Cyc is a Polish punk-rock band formed in March 1988 at the University of Łódź, built around vocalist and lyricist Krzysztof Skiba and bassist Jacek Jędrzejak. Over nearly four decades the band has released more than 19 studio albums and become one of Poland's most recognisable acts, known for sharp satirical lyrics that skewer politics, social hypocrisy and everyday Polish life. Their 1996 hit "Makumba" and the 2005 single "Moherowe berety" each sparked nationwide media debate, cementing their reputation as provocateurs of the Polish rock scene.
