Bohren & der Club of Gore is a German dark jazz and ambient band from Mülheim an der Ruhr, active since 1988. Originally rooted in hardcore punk and doom metal, the trio - Christoph Clöser (saxophone, keyboards), Morten Gass (keyboards, guitar) and Robin Rodenberg (bass) - developed a sound they call 'doom-ridden jazz': glacially slow tempos, heavy saxophone lines and a dense, nocturnal atmosphere. Their 2000 album Sunset Mission is widely regarded as their defining work, and the band has released ten studio albums to date.
The band's official website lists a series of 2026 European dates including Cologne (March), Bremen and Hamburg (October), Flensburg, Stockholm Jazz Festival, Mannheim's Enjoy Jazz Festival (October), and shows in Tbilisi and Belgrade (November).
Bohren & der Club of Gore performed at Brutal Assault festival in Jaroměř, Czech Republic in August 2025.
The band played two nights in Athens, Greece in January 2025.
The band toured the UK and the Netherlands in November 2024, with two sold-out nights at London's Union Chapel and a show in Haarlem.
Bohren & der Club of Gore played two Polish dates in March 2024 - Gdańsk and Kraków - as well as a sold-out show in Helsinki.
