About
Boy Harsher is an American darkwave duo formed in 2013 by vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller, originally from Savannah, Georgia and now based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Their sound - minimal synth beats, grinding electronics, and Matthews' hypnotic voice - sits at the crossroads of cold wave, EBM, and body-moving dance music. The duo runs their own Nude Club imprint and has steadily expanded into film: they wrote, directed, and scored the 2022 short horror film The Runner, and their debut feature The Lonely Woman, starring Chloë Sevigny and FKA twigs, is set for a 2026 premiere.
