Brings is a Cologne-based band founded in 1990 by brothers Peter and Stephan Brings, who sing almost entirely in the local Kölsch dialect. Starting out as a rock act - they once opened for AC/DC and Tom Petty - they pivoted around 2001 toward Cologne carnival party music, a move that made them one of the most popular bands in the Rhineland. Their gold-certified singles 'Kölsche Jung' (2013) and 'Polka, Polka, Polka' (2015) are now fixtures of every Cologne carnival season.
