About

Carnifex is an American deathcore band from San Diego County, California, active since 2005. Built around founding members vocalist Scott Lewis and drummer Shawn Cameron, the band helped shape the first wave of deathcore and has since released nine studio albums - from the debut 'Dead in My Arms' (2007) through to 'Necromanteum' (2023) - on labels including Victory Records and Nuclear Blast. Their sound draws on death metal's brutality and black metal atmosphere, delivered with a relentless live presence across more than two decades of global touring.
