About
Cem Adrian (born Cem Filiz, 30 November 1980 in Edirne) is a Turkish singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist of Bosniak descent. His vocal cords are three times the length of an average person's, giving him a range that spans from deep bass to soprano across roughly four-and-a-half octaves - a physiological rarity that brought him to the attention of pianist Fazıl Say, who invited him to study at Bilkent University in 2004. Since his debut album in 2005 he has released over a dozen records, blending alternative rock, jazz and Turkish folk traditions, and performs regularly across Europe and Turkey.
