David Geringas

About

David Geringas is a Lithuanian cellist and conductor born in 1946 in Vilnius. He studied under Mstislav Rostropovich in Moscow and won the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1970. Since then he has built a career both as a soloist and as a conductor on stages across Europe and beyond.
