Donny Benet - Europe/UK 2026
Australian artist Donny Benet performs in Vienna as part of his European tour.
Donny Benét (born Ben Waples) is a Sydney-based Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose music fuses post-disco, synth-funk, and 80s pop into a self-contained, one-man studio operation. With Italian heritage and a master's degree in jazz double bass from the Sydney Conservatorium, he built a global cult following through six studio albums - from the 2011 debut Don't Hold Back to the 2024 release Infinite Desires on his own Donnyland Records. His track 'Konichiwa' appeared on The Weeknd's hand-picked playlist of inspirations for After Hours, and his instrumental EP Le Piano won Best Independent Jazz Album at the 2023 AIR Awards.
Donny Benét released his instrumental album Il Basso on February 13, 2026, via Donnyland Records - the second instalment in his instrumental series following the Le Piano EP.
Benét released 'School's Out', the lead single from Il Basso, described as a bass-heavy, non-vocal track marking a shift toward a fully instrumental record.
A European and UK tour is confirmed for September 2026, with dates in Vienna, Warsaw, Hamburg, Bratislava, Ostrava, and Prague among others.
Sixth studio album Infinite Desires was released on February 29, 2024, on Benét's own Donnyland Records, charting at No. 46 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
The instrumental EP Le Piano won Best Independent Jazz Album at the 2023 AIR Awards.
