Dua Saleh is a Sudanese-American singer, songwriter, poet, and actor who fled Sudan's civil war as a child and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their music weaves R&B, indie pop, and electronic production with threads of Sudanese folk, drawing on a background that runs from Quranic recitation to spoken-word open mics. They reached a wider audience as Cal Bowman - the first nonbinary character - in Netflix's Sex Education, and have since released two full-length albums on Ghostly International: I Should Call Them (2024) and Of Earth & Wires (2026).
