Erobique is the stage name of Carsten Meyer (born 1972 in Saerbeck, Westphalia), a Hamburg-based German musician, composer, and entertainer who has been performing solo since 1997. His music draws on disco, funk, and electronic pop, delivered live at the keyboard with an improvisational flair that the FAZ once called a "living disco ball". Beyond his club work, Meyer has composed soundtracks for German films and TV series including Der Tatortreiniger, Fraktus, and Magical Mystery, and has collaborated extensively with Jacques Palminger and DJ Koze's group International Pony.
Erobique's open-air show "Große Gartenparty" at Hamburg Stadtpark on 29 May 2026 was cut short when a severe thunderstorm warning forced the venue to stop the concert.
Erobique released the single "You Get Me So High" in 2026, his first new solo material since the 2023 album No. 2.
Erobique and Jacques Palminger released "Songs for Joy auf der Veddel", a collaborative album built around texts submitted by Hamburg residents and recorded in a converted church in the Veddel district.
