folkshilfe is an Austrian pop trio from Upper Austria - Florian Ritt (vocals), Gabriel Fröhlich (drums) and Paul Slaviczek (guitar) - who built their sound around a synthesizer-fitted accordion ("Quetschn") and dialect lyrics in Austrian German. Founded in 2011 as street musicians, they grew into one of the most consistent acts in the German-speaking pop landscape, collecting Amadeus Austrian Music Award nominations and selling out venues from Munich to the Wiener Arena. Their fifth studio album "bunt" was released in April 2025.
