Hasenscheisse - Acoustic Guitar Trash Balladen
Hasenscheisse is a Berlin institution that has been touring for years with absurd yet captivating "Trash Ballads" full of humour and surprising depth.
Hasenscheisse is a Berlin/Potsdam-based band founded in the mid-1990s by Matthias "Matze" Mengert and Christian "Chrischi" Näthe, who describe their style as "Acoustic Guitar Trash Ballads" - a genre-crossing mix of folk, rock, punk and reggae with sharp, self-ironic lyrics. Their 2007 debut album "Für eine Handvoll Köttel" became an unexpected hit, with the song "Bernd am Grill" spreading widely online and on radio. The band has since grown to a five-piece and released five studio albums, including "Dampferjazz" (2021), which appeared on a limited double-vinyl edition featuring four tracks re-recorded with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.
