Herbert Pixner Projekt is a South Tyrolean instrumental ensemble founded in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist Herbert Pixner (born 1975 in Meran), who plays diatonic accordion, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and more. The group - completed by guitarist Manuel Randi, harpist Ysaline Lentze, pianist Alex Trebo and double bassist Werner Unterlercher - weaves together Alpine folk music, gypsy jazz, flamenco, blues and rock into a sound that is entirely its own. With over 1,500 sold-out concerts and around 100,000 tickets sold per year, they rank among the most successful instrumental acts in the German-speaking world. Their 'Symphonic Alps' project, recorded with major symphony orchestras, brought them to the largest concert halls in Austria and Germany.
