Hilary Hahn (born 1979 in Lexington, Virginia) is an American violinist widely regarded as one of the foremost soloists of her generation. A three-time Grammy Award winner, she studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and has performed with the world's leading orchestras. She is also a committed champion of new music, having personally commissioned works from more than 40 living composers.
Hahn performed as soloist at the 2026 world premiere of Tiler Peck's ballet set to Lalo's Symphonie espagnole at New York City Ballet.
After a seven-month recovery from a double-pinched nerve, Hahn returned to the stage with the New York Philharmonic performing the Brahms Violin Concerto under Herbert Blomstedt.
