About the venue
The Alte Oper Frankfurt is a grand 19th-century concert hall on Opernplatz, rebuilt after its near-total destruction in World War II and reopened in 1981. Originally opened in 1880, the neo-Renaissance building now hosts orchestral concerts, jazz, pop and international acts. Its main hall seats around 2,500 and is one of Germany's most prestigious concert venues.
